Content manager will be expected to plan and generate content for marketing communications. The content manager will be required to create and update a content plan which ensures content is regularly sourced and ‘published’ across all channels. All content has to convey expertise and authority, share information, convey benefits, and be persuasive and inclusive.

  • Create and deliver a content plan.
  • Responsible for creating a coherent and compelling story for each campaign and help the channel owners to translate that across their respective touchpoints.
  • Ensure content is maximised; being ‘published’ across as many touchpoints as is suitable.
  • Ensure that each brand has a unique and engaging tone of voice
  • Develop clear and easy to use tone of voice guidelines for each brand to ensure that all copy, regardless of the channel, has a coherent feel to it.
  • Write clear, compelling long and short copy for products across all channels as well as creative copy for blog posts, POS, emails newsletters, brochure intros, marketing comms etc.
  • Using the tone of voice guidelines up skill other members of the business who are required to write copy.
  • Attend meetings with departments and teams, taking and questioning briefs, discussing the product requirements and core messages.  Ensure comprehensive knowledge of products, target audiences and competitor activities within the market
  • Actively seek 3rd party content from suppliers, internal trainers, event speakers, customers, colleagues.
  • Work on multiple projects at any one time, sometimes under pressure and often to tight deadlines, being able to prioritise and communicate this to a wider audience.
  • Manage work into the team and put in place processes to make sure work load is visible and controlled.
